Land Acknowledgement

With deep respect, I acknowledge that the unceded land I live and practice on was originally inhabited by the Indigenous peoples of the Nisenan and Miwok tribal nations. I recognize the historic discrimination and violence inflicted upon Indigenous peoples, including their forced removal from ancestral, ceremonial lands, the deliberate and systematic destruction of their communities and culture, and the continued efforts to minimize or omit their experiences from our historical and cultural narrative.

I am grateful to be able to live and gather on this piece of Turtle Island and am committed to the ongoing learning, activism, and accompliceship required to foster a culture that acknowledges these harms, shows empathy and care, and demonstrates positive steps toward reconciliation and repair.
